DATONG ZERO CARBON INNOVATION PARK
Greenhouse gas emission reduction has become an important issue in future urbanization. As an important coal base in Shanxi Province, Datong needs to break through current industrial chain and achieve green development. In our design, we adopt "Grey-Green-Blue" livable ecological planning methods and integrates energy system, water environment system, traffic system and urban design, aiming to achieve an overall operation cost reduction of more than 50% for the energy system in the Innovation Park. Through low-carbon buildings and the application of new energy, zero carbon and emission reduction can be realized from inside to outside. The public transportation network and slow traffic system in the Innovation Park provide reference for the urban construction of Datong. The Innovation Park, serving as a guide, will set an example and bring instructions to the design and implementation of future urban frame and community form.
