BEIJING FUN FARM FAM ECO-FARM
FAN FARM FAM Eco-Farm in Shunyi, Beijing, spans 11.3 hectares. Formerly a monoculture orchard, ARCHILAND transformed it into a carbon-neutral farm integrating ecological agriculture, nature education, and community building through adaptive reuse and circular design. Existing buildings were renovated with recycled bricks and timber; bioswales and rain gardens restore the water cycle, while herb belts boost biodiversity. Guided by Doughnut Economics, the project balances ecological limits and social foundations via nature programs, community co-creation, and local employment, shifting from produce sales to experience-based services. Rooted in natural wisdom and human care, it offers a replicable model for peri-urban ecological renewal.
