YINGBIN INNER BAY

Yingbin Inner Bay Urban Renewal Project is a 480-hectare flagship Hainan Free Trade Port initiative on the southern shore of Yingbin Inner Bay, transforming a former industrial town into a youth-oriented coastal tech city. Its spatial strategy—“two cores, three corridors, four links, multiple cultural nodes”—integrates cultural tourism, quality housing, and sports-leisure uses. Eco-design leverages 9 km of shoreline, 60 ha of mangroves, and 36 ha of coastal forest to create a layered, bay-friendly waterfront. Connectivity includes a “2 vertical, 7 horizontal” land-water transport network and a 15-minute living circle, with key nodes such as a cultural & sports center, a Song-dynasty cultural district, and a historic fishing village renewal.
